Chemistry Boot and RE-BOOT Camps

Chem Boot Camp for intro chemistry students is available in an online or in-person format for small groups of 3-6 students.

Start high school chemistry studies on the right foot 

Students develop confidence based on conceptual foundations and problem-solving skills developed in a small group (three to six students), interactive, online program. Please email or phone to schedule your group.

Topics include: 

• atomic structure and isotopes
• classification of matter 
• measurement, precision and accuracy
• dimensional analysis and conversions 

Chem Re-Boot Camp refreshes and reinforces chemistry concepts and calculations to prepare students for AP, IB or first year College Chemistry in the 2023-2024 academic year. Online and in-person sessions offered summer 2023. Please email or phone to schedule.

Kick off your advanced Chemistry course with fortified chemical understanding and mathematical skills on key topics: 

• stoichiometry 
• gas laws
• acids and bases 
• equilibrium

Boot camp instructor, Teddi Ann Galligan, is a chemist, teacher, and tutor with experience mentoring students from many private and public schools including: Maret, Sidwell, St. Albans, National Cathedral School, Georgetown Day School, School Without Walls, Wilson, Washington International School, St. John's, Gonzaga, Blair, Bethesda-Chevy Chase, and Whitman.
